Yet another wrong activation kit!

People outside of the USA , do not order products from overseas, especially DNA kits. Too much issues.

This is from a previous case where my DNA activation kit did not work. I was told that it was deleted.

In the end, Maja from MyHeritage said she sent me a complimentary kit again and a free subscription till April. I thought everything would be resolved. Today, I went to collect the new one she sent, and with utter shock, after paying three times the amount for the package at our local post office, I rushed home just to find out it too is inactive. Stating the 'code is not on their system'.

This time there were no errors, no accounts deleted, and the correct tracking number, and the code is still not working. I lost just today for this package a couple of hundred rands!!! I am lost for words ...in tears... I thought this was it after going through so much...

The 3rd one???

Can any good Samaritan please just buy me a DNA kit here in South Africa, please, please...? How will I get all the money back that I have lost, I dont have anymore money!

They messed up my account from the beginning making my husband manager of my Brandenburg/Frankenstein site. They gave me a blank site called the Johnson family tree.

I explained this to them years ago and they never fixed it but I was always able to work on my real account for 9 years though they recently said they only have 5 year plans. Now I no longer have access to my account or they deleted it. This is the message I sent customer service this time: You have now taken me off as a member of my account because I complained about you. You messed up my account and somehow had my deceased husband as manager of my account and made me me manager of an empty account.

I asked you to fix this years ago. Not only did you not fix it but then I was told you only have 5 years plans after mine was still active after 9 years. I see you changed my account number to 200124****. You know I managed my Brandenburg/Frankenstein site.

Did you delete my $900 worth of information collected over 9 years?

What an absolutely unethical company you are.My update is they not only are not ethical but purely evil deleting 9 years of work. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!

I was ill for a long time, and then my husband got Parkinson's, and I kept him home for 2 years and cared for him. I did not have time for genealogy.

I had bought this subscription from a saleswoman for almost $900. She told me it was a lifetime subscription and I would never have to pay again. I was notified by email a few months ago that my subscription was about to expire. You can only email them; they don't want to face you on the phone.

They told me they only had 5-year subscriptions. I showed them where my research started years ago. They not only have not honored my subscription, but they have changed my email, and now I have 2 accounts, and one has nothing in it now. Who would pay $900 for a 5-year subscription?

Not me!

They just make things the way they want them to look. No integrity or honesty at all.

There is no customer service. You are not able to talk to a real person.

A good business would be able to help you on the phone.

Not MyHeritage! Very very disappointing.

.I never received a phone call from my heritage. I called several numbers that I could find on The internet but either they didnt work or they rerouted me back to their home page.

Never got to speak to a real person. Not cool.

Bought a Groupon that I couldn't use, And got no help from my heritage

I bought a Groupon so I can obtain a DNA test and thought, 'Wow, this will be so cool!' Upon using this Groupon, the redemption code said 'invalid code' every time I attempted to put it in.

I reached out to MyHeritage; they'll escalated the issue & it's been more than a week, and still nothing back in regard to how to obtain this kit. Edit *More then 2 weeks now

Preferred solution: help managing the delivery of the kit I purchased on Groupon (pay shipping only )some compensation , I may or may not have run out of time to obtain this kit If I don't, I will be losing money

Refund account

So far very bad. I have not received any communication from them. The difficulties involved in trying to contact them makes everyone believe that this is intentional and they that they do not wish to resolve billing issues.Contact them

My account was fully deleted I was billed February 4th for a full year account billed was 9999****. Invoice number is #3136**** under John Murray.

Credit card billed last digits 9206. Since my account was deleted their is no way to log back in and communicate with MyHeritage this website is poorly designed making communication with My Heritage almost impossible.

Once I was able to contact Myheritage and prove that it was me my problem was solved within a week. There customer support team was very helpful.

Renewal - refund problems

For a company that uses AI you would expect that they could send automated email prior to renewals that they charge several hundred dollars for, but they don't.

And then when you try to contact them for a refund you get the run around from their AI bot. There are no listed phone numbers for this company.

And then the service's search engine is doesn't produce reliable or accurate data.

I deeply regret using and paying My Heritage.

Thieves

My credit card was charged and I have not used the system for 20+ months. You cannot reach a human to cancel.

I cannot get into the program.

They have my credit card information and will forever continue to use it. There should be laws against these thieves!

Can’t access my account

I can’t physically speak to a human and I a senior that doesn’t even know if I still have a active account or not.

I can't access my account and am trying to upgrade my account. My payment has changed and I'm a senior that's getting very frustrated with the automated system.

Preferred solution: I want to be able to access my account and my email and payment information has changed. I just need to speak with someone because I’m a senior that’s been with this company for several years and had been able to speak to a person in the past.

User's recommendation: This is the worst system I have ever dealt with to get through to someone. I am 74 years old and I have lost all of my information in My Heritage and don’t know how to retrieve it

I engaged in a seven day free trial offer last year MyHeritage. You had to give your credit card info to access this free trial.

I cancelled my free trial the next day.

On September 10/25 MyHeritage charged my credit card $597.77 Canadian!!

Credit card company said to contact them to resolve before they would file a dispute.

You cant get a real person on the phone. You put in your information and then they disconnect you and say go to the website.

You go to the website and click on Request Refund and they make it impossible for you to request a refund.. I tried for three days. They send you in circles in an effort to wear you down and give up.

Pissed consumer had the best information I was able to document and send to my credit card dispute resolution department regarding this company.

Within 24 hours of sending my info to my credit card company MyHeritage emailed me with news that they had refunded my money.

Waiting for it to show up on my credit card bill, but I am hopeful.

Thank you, pissed consumer! MyHeritage is doing this to people all over the world and they need to be stopped!
